Khandagiri Anchalik Bikasha Parisad (KABP) Welcomes

Khandagiri Anchalika Bikash Parishd (KABP) is a socio-cultural-economic-educational people’s welfare organistion registered on 25th January 2014 under Societies Registration Act 1860. Its jurisdiction is the Khandagiri area centering around the twin hills and the adjascent areas. The area was traditionally thinnly habitated with good forest cover. After the Bhubanswar city became the capital of Odisha State in 1948 the city developped in lengh and breadth so also the Khandagiri area. New colonies, shopping complexes, educational istitutions, medical facilities, recreational parks, hotels, etc have come up. The area once an isolated place of peace, serenity and tranquality about ore than two thousand years back, best choosen by Kharavela for accommodation of the Jain monks, is now under the urban influence. The Parishad’s primary objective is wholistic development of the area with special focus on the integrated develpment of Khandagiri-Udayagiri Twin Hills. The twin hillls appreciably must continue to attract the tourists and scholars. The Parishad realises that the local community as the stakeholders have moral respnsibility to participate and contribute in conservatin and management of the twin hills of internatinal archaeological fame.
