On 15th august 2013 the KABP was born with a moto to address all round development of the area around the Twin hills of Udayagiri along with its conservation and development. On 25 January 2014 it was registered under Society Registration Act 1860 vide No.1908/70 of 2013/14. The present membership of the organisation is 77 including annual members and life members. Since then the Parishad is striving hard to achieve its desired goal.
Activities of the Parishad.
1. November 2014 the KABP organised a National Seminar with experts from different disciplines like Historians, Environmentalists, Tourism Experts, Scientists, Geologists, Professors and Researchers.
2. A souvenir containing articles on different aspects of the Twin Hills was published during the occasion-

It was felt during the Seminar that authentic literature in lucid reading form in English is wanting on the Twin Hills for the tourists and general real readers, though plenty of research-oriented books are there. Hence a book has been written by Prof. A K Pattanayak to meet the requirement and published by the Parishad. Copies of the book have been purchased by the Govt. of Odisha for all its libraries.
4. The observations of the experts of the Seminar for the overall developments, and conservation of the Twin Hills were communicated to the concerned authorities of State and Central Government for follow up action.
5. We observe World Heritage Week every year involving Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, a Govt. of India organisation, local schools, local youth and residents.
6. We observe significant days of national and international importance like World Health Da,World environment Day and World Senior Citizens Day.
7. Bana Mahotsava and tree plantations have been organised in collaboration with Orissa Environmental Society, Bhubaneswar Jayadeva Walkers’ Club, Khandagiri and others
8. Cleaning of Twin Hills and the surrounding areas have been taken up at regular intervals under Clean and Green Campaign and Swatch Bharat Aviyana.
9. Regular interaction with the concerned Govt. officials has been maintained to prevent the plying of heavy vehicles through the twin hills and the subsequent construction of the barricade.
10. We have taken steps to facilitate the construction of the flyover near Khandagiri squire.
11. We have taken steps to meet the local demands like improvement of the road condition, construction of the service road, street road, street light system, construction of toilets, bus stop, drainage and sewerage system around the area
12. Tourist awareness campaign have been conducted and one o display board with guide lines for the tourists on dos and don’ts has been installed.
13. One sranddhanjali sabha was organised on 15.02 2019 in honour the martyrs of Pulwama
14. We try to assist the organisers of Magha Mela in maintaining sanitation, discipline etc.
15. As an umbrella organisation we are in constant contact with peoples’ representatives, like the Hon’ble MP, MLA, Mayor, and Corporators and other Government officials and service providers.
16. We are closely associated with local socio cultural and spiritual and organisations of the locality for over all development.

We maintain regular interaction with eminent personalities with expertise for holistic development of the area and the Twin Hills and to make it an international tourist destination including the development of important Parks like Biju Pattanayak Energy Park, Kharavela Park and Jayadeva Vatika around it.
